I have visited many students’ house and their parents. I think being a good parent is a big challenge. All parents try to give their children everything that they need and the best for their children, but parents sometimes go too far. Some parents give their children a lot of stress because they want them to study hard all the time. Children who seldom take time out to relax and have fun often grow up to become very serious adults with no sense of humor. Some parents do everything for their children. Children whose parents have done everything for them grow up not knowing how to do things for themselves. So what makes a good parent? The foundation stone of being a good parent is knowing when to teach his or her children and when to let them learn for themselves.
