One piece or two？

Gabrielle and Winnie are at a store shopping for swimwear.

G　Gabrielle　W　Winnie

G：I can't wait to get to the beach and soak up some rays.

W：You'd better be careful about sunburns on your vacation.

G：You worry too much. Oh, these bikinis are cute!

W：(Holding up a swimsuit) This color would look good for you.

G：I don't need a two-piece. I might get something for the pool, though.

W：That's right! You're swimming laps every morning now.

G：Yeah, and I'd like something that will look nice but still be comfortable and sporty.

W：I'll grab a few of these bikinis, and you should pick out some one-pieces.

G：OK. I'll meet you in the changing rooms.

(Later)

W：I think I'm going to get both of these.

G：Don't your brother ask you to pick something up for him？

W：I almost forgot! Those Speedos would look really silly on him, though.

G：And they don't look evey comfortable. What about these board shorts？

W：Yeah! He can play beach volleyball in them or go surfing.

G：And if he throws on a shirt, he'll look like he's wearing shorts, not a bathing suit.

W：They're perfect. I'll get a pair for him.

挑衣總有妙方

嘉比兒和溫妮在一間商店買泳衣

嘉比兒：我等不及要到海灘吸收些陽光了

溫妮：妳渡假時最好小心曬傷

嘉比兒：妳擔心太多了。喔，這套比基尼好可愛！

溫妮：(拿起一件泳衣) 妳穿這個顏色會很好看

嘉比兒：我不需要兩件式的。但我可能會買在游泳池會用到的東西

溫妮：沒錯！妳現在每天早上都在游泳池來回游泳

嘉比兒：對啊，我想要好看但還是很舒服，而且適合運動的泳衣

溫妮：我會拿幾件比基尼，妳應該挑一些連身式的

嘉比兒：好，我會在更衣室跟妳碰面

(過了一會兒)

溫妮：我想這兩件我都會買

嘉比兒：妳哥哥不是要妳幫他買東西嗎？

溫妮：我差點忘了！但是他穿那些三角泳褲看起來真的很蠢

嘉比兒：而且它們看起來不太舒服。這些海灘褲怎麼樣？

溫妮：好耶！他可以穿這個玩沙灘排球或衝浪

嘉比兒：而且如果他套上一件襯衫的話，看起來就像穿短褲而不是泳衣

溫妮：它們太完美了。我會幫他買一件

look 在此表示「看起來....」，後面接形容詞。

若要表示「某人穿某些顏色、衣物看起來....」，句型為：

N. + look + Adj. + on sb

‧That hat looks funny on you, so I don't think you should wear it.

　你戴那頂帽子看起來很好笑，所以我覺得你不應該戴它

look like 表示「看起來像...」，後面可接子句或名詞

‧The dog looks like it want to go outside.
